Nike Covers the Air Force 1 Low in Tonal "University Red Stars" for Holiday 2026

Nike Air Force 1 Low University Red Stars JA3769-657

Nike found a way to make an all-red Air Force 1 even louder without adding a second color. Sneaker Bar Detroit reports the Air Force 1 Low "University Red Stars" (JA3769-657) is coming for Holiday 2026 through Nike.com and select retailers at $125. There's no exact release date yet, so treat timing as TBA and we'll update this post when Nike locks it in.

The whole shoe is University Red: leather, laces, sole, lining, insoles, even the embroidered Nike Air on the heel. What makes it more than a triple-red reissue is the overlapping leather stars stitched across the toe box and spilling out from under the Swooshes on both sides, with raised edges and little perforations tucked between them. The toe cap and heel stay clean, which keeps the pattern from turning into wallpaper. The only break in the red is a set of silver star lace charms with tiny Swooshes, plus silver Nike Air hits inside.

Our take: this is a holiday shoe that knows exactly what it is. Tonal stars on a red Force are a little bit Christmas sweater and a little bit Air Force 1 history, and at $125 it's one of the friendlier ways to wear something this loud. Just know that a pair this red will be the first thing anyone sees, so plan the rest of the fit like the shoes are the headliner, because they are.
