Columbus gets its own Air Max. Sneaker Bar Detroit reports the Nike Air Max 90 "Ohio State" (JA2109-600) releases November 3, 2026 exclusively through Sole Classics, in-store and online, for $140, with a wider global launch planned for Holiday 2026 (exact date TBA).
This one is built for people who bleed scarlet and gray. The upper is shaggy University Red suede, there's black leather on the mudguard with a tiny repeating square pattern, and the metallic silver Swooshes get black teeth along the edges. The details are where it gets fun: a Cuban link chain lace dubrae, "Defend the Shoe" on the tongue tags as a nod to the Horseshoe, and "Fight to the End" in Old English lettering on the insoles. It pairs with a matching Max 90 Vapor football version for the team, but this is the one you can actually wear to the tailgate.
Our take: fuzzy red suede plus a chain on the laces is a lot of shoe, and that's exactly the point. Team colorways usually play it safe, and this one swings. Michigan fans, feel free to look away.
