The Air Trainer SC is Bo Jackson's shoe, so it's only right that a crew built around running and training got its hands on one. Hypebeast Japan has the first look at HOMERUN × Nike Air Trainer SC Low, a collab with the Brooklyn community shop.
HOMERUN started in the early 2000s as friends trading stickers and tees, opened a Brooklyn store in 2023, and now sells clothes, zines and art while doubling as a meetup spot for runs and training sessions. That DIY energy shows up on the shoe.
The upper mixes brushed, fuzzy materials with fine-weave fabric in shades running from black to charcoal, and the Swoosh, laces and midsole all stay dark so the texture does the talking. Flip it over and the mood changes: a pale, translucent blue outsole with a big "BTM" graffiti tag across the forefoot and a Nike logo in the middle.
Our take: tonal black trainers are everywhere, but hiding the loudest part of the shoe on the bottom is a fun move. It's the sneaker version of a jacket with a wild lining. Nobody knows until you kick your feet up.
