ASICS keeps finding new moods for the GEL-NYC 2.0, and the latest one is pure late-fall calm. Fresh images reported by Fullress show the pair in "Ivory/Slate Blue" (1203B153.750), set for a November 6 release in Japan.
The upgrade over the original GEL-NYC is all there: an upper modeled on the 2000-era GEL-1050, suede overlays for a richer finish, and the newer, redesigned sole. This pair wraps a creamy ivory mesh base in dusty slate blue suede, runs sage-grey ASICS stripes down the side, and finishes on a cream midsole with a soft pink outsole and green GEL window peeking through. Our take: it's the sneaker version of a good knit sweater. Nothing about it screams, and that's exactly why it'll go with everything you own from now until March.
