Thirty years after Allen Iverson made a mid-top look like a crossover, Reebok is rebuilding the Question for people who still want to hoop in it. Footwear News reports the Reebok Question Mid Recoded releases in the U.S. on November 10 for $170 via reebok.com and exclusively at Foot Locker, with a global launch on November 16.
It comes in two colorways: the original Red Toe and a new 30th Anniversary Green. The shape stays faithful, but the guts are new: improved traction on an icy outsole, a supercritical foam pod, a stability plate in the midsole and a more forgiving upper. Iverson's line on it: "This shoe has always been about doing things your way and not asking for permission." Foot Locker and Reebok are also hosting a pop-up honoring Iverson on November 10 at Philadelphia's Bok Building, 1901 S 9th Street.
Our take: the Red Toe is untouchable, so the smart move was leaving the look alone and sneaking the tech in underneath. The all-green one is the wild card, a full emerald finish that will either be your favorite or your friend's punchline. Either way, a Question you can actually play in at $170 is a fair deal.
