Nike and Oregon Trace the Origin of Speed Into a New Ducks Uniform

Oregon didn’t just refresh a jersey — it wrote a thesis. The Ducks’ newest football uniform, revealed through official athletics channels and @oregonfootball, is titled around the Origin of Speed: track roots, Nike DNA, and a two-year design process overseen by Nike graphic designer Jason Cochran, a lifelong Oregon fan who built the kit with current players in the room.

The palette goes deep. Base color is Nike’s darkest green, Night Forest; numerals debut Green Strike, a sharper lime pulled from the program’s speed identity. Helmet and shoulder graphics sit at a 26.2-degree angle — marathon distance as geometry — and the storytelling folds in Bill Bowerman’s early Nike shoe experiments on the same Eugene campus. It’s uniform-as-heritage, not just Saturday drip.
