A clog for Moon. Birkenstock’s Paris-based 1774 special-projects desk is reuniting with filmmaker, creative director, and record executive Cole Bennett on a tactile rework of the Boston clog — the silhouette’s 50th-anniversary year getting a full fur coat and a custom crescent moon buckle.

As reported by Footwear News, the collab wraps the Boston in off-white wool felt with a soft microfiber lining and finishes it with an antique dark copper crescent moon buckle Bennett calls out as the favorite detail — a nod to imagination, new beginnings, and his dog, Moon. He framed the shoe as a love letter to her.
Bennett first appeared in Birkenstock’s Birkenstories documentary series in 2018; the brand is revisiting that chapter with a new film shot between Chicago and his hometown of Plano, Illinois, plus campaign imagery that brings his grandfather into the frame. Bennett directed the campaign film himself.
