From across the room, Nike's newest P-6000 looks like it's wearing a good pair of selvedge jeans. Up close, it's something tougher. Per Highsnobiety, the Nike P-6000 "Thunder Blue" builds its base out of navy Cordura, the abrasion-proof nylon you usually find on work pants, backpacks and military gear, not on a dad shoe.
The rest of the shoe plays along. Grey suede overlays wrap the whole upper, a dark navy Swoosh sits on the side, and a black rubber sole keeps it from looking too precious. The best detail is the bright orange "Bowerman Series" pull tab on the laces, which is the one bit of color in an otherwise very serious, very workwear outfit.

Highsnobiety calls it the first Cordura P-6000 in a while, and Nike has been on a Cordura kick lately with versions of the Zoom Vomero 5 and Air Max Moto 2K. Our take: this is the P-6000 for people who think most P-6000s are a little too shiny. Navy, grey and black goes with every jacket you own, and it can actually take a puddle. If you've been waiting for a dad shoe that won't look beat up by December, this is a strong candidate.
The details: Highsnobiety reports the "Thunder Blue" pair is already available at Snipes France for €129.99 (about $145). Nike hasn't announced a US release date, style code or US price yet, so treat the US timing as TBA. We'll update this post when it's confirmed. Until then, browse Nike at ONENESS.
