The Jordan Son Of Mars Low Goes Black With a "Gold Tongue"

Jordan Son Of Mars Low Gold Tongue 580603-007 side view in black nubuck with a metallic gold tongue

Jordan Brand's "Space Jam" season keeps pulling in the supporting cast, and the latest call-up is the Son Of Mars Low. Sneaker News has official images of a new "Gold Tongue" colorway, style code 580603-007, and it's a sharp one.

If you haven't met it, the Son Of Mars is Mars Blackmon's mashup shoe: bits of the Air Jordan 3, 4, 5 and 6 stitched into one silhouette. This pair runs the whole upper in black nubuck with black elephant print on the mudguard and heel, then drops a metallic gold finish on the top of the tongue. Gold speckles on the midsole tie it together, and the outsole stays blacked out with a small Jumpman.

Our take: the Son Of Mars has always been a lot of shoe, four Jordans in a trench coat, and the trick to making it work is restraint. Black nubuck does exactly that. It reads like a winter Black Cat with a trophy on top, and the gold tongue is just enough flash to remind you it came to play. Honestly, this might be the easiest Son Of Mars to wear in years.

The details: Jordan Son Of Mars Low "Gold Tongue" (Black/Metallic Gold), 580603-007. Sneaker News reports a $165 price and a Holiday 2026 release, with Nike listed as a retailer. Exact release date is TBA, and we'll update this post when Jordan Brand confirms it.
