Wales Bonner has been quietly running adidas's taste department for a few years now. Half the brand's general releases look like they took notes from her mood board. But a knockoff vibe is never the same as the real thing, and per Sneaker News, the real thing is back: the Wales Bonner x adidas Holiday 2026 collection lands Thursday, October 29 via adidas and select retailers.
Five shoes make up the drop, and the headliner is the adidas BW Army, the old German Army Trainer that's having a fashion moment of its own. Bonner gives it two takes, "Khaki Pony" (KK2809) and "Black Pony" (KK2813), both with pony hair uppers, croc-embossed leather on the side and forefoot panels, and the hand-stitched seams she's known for. They're $200 each.
The rest of the lineup is familiar faces in very nice outfits. The Gazelle Indoor (KK0735, $220) comes in deep green croc with a bright blue lining. The Adizero Adios (KK0774, $200) goes cream suede with embroidered stripes. The Karintha (KK0733) is the most luxurious of the bunch in rich brown croc, and Sneaker News doesn't list a price for that one yet. Bonner's exposed stitching shows up all over the pack, especially around the heel tabs.
Our take: the Khaki Pony BW Army is the one. A furry army trainer sounds like a dare, but in that olive-gold with the burgundy lining it reads like a vintage leather jacket for your feet. The Gazelle is the safer pick if you want people to know it's Wales Bonner without explaining what a German Army Trainer is at dinner. Either way, Bonner pairs have a habit of disappearing on release morning, so set an alarm for Thursday.
