Vans is closing out 2026 by putting its skate classics in a good sweater. Sneaker News has official images of a Pringle of Scotland x Vans capsule: two Slip-Ons, an Authentic and a SK8-Hi, all wrapped in fuzzy Scottish-wool-style uppers. Retailers are listing it for November 10 or 11, 2026, depending on the shop. Vans hasn't locked a firm date or price yet, so treat both as TBA until it does.
Quick note for anyone hungry: this is Pringle the British knitwear house, not the chips. Pringle of Scotland has been making knitwear for about two centuries and was one of the early names behind the argyle pattern, and you can see that history all over these. The diamonds and checks come in two palettes. One Slip-On and the Authentic go cream, black and tan, while the SK8-Hi and the second Slip-On switch to navy, olive green and burgundy, the kind of colors that look like they've had tea with a professor. Inside, a co-branded "Pringle x Vans" insole with a skateboarding lion seals the deal.
Our take: Vans has been on a heater this year, and after the Harris Tweed pairs this fall, the premium-fabric lane is clearly working. Wool on a Slip-On is not a puddle shoe, so keep these away from slush, but as a cold-weather flex the navy SK8-Hi is the one we'd grab first. It's the rare sneaker that matches your grandfather's sweater on purpose.
