BILLY'S just poured its first-ever New Balance collab, and it's black coffee. The Tokyo shop's official launch page lists the New Balance 204L "Black Coffee" (U204L9A6) for November 7, 2026 at ¥17,930, about $113, with Highsnobiety reporting the drop today. It's a BILLY'S exclusive in Japan for now, with pre-orders already open on its site and the pair stocked across all BILLY'S stores.
The 204L mixes a slim, low 1970s running shape with busy 2000s-style overlays, and BILLY'S keeps every layer in one deep brown: pig suede, smooth leather on the N logo and trims, and a big open-hole mesh underneath. Two sets of laces come in the box, brown for the quiet tonal look and turquoise for when you want people to notice. On release day, the Harajuku store is even handing out a coffee-themed special treat to New Balance buyers.
Our take: this is a runner pretending to be a loafer, and it's pulling it off. New Balance already did a lighter "Cortado" 204L, so BILLY'S basically ordered the stronger drink. Wear it with the brown laces under wool trousers and nobody will guess it's a running shoe until you jog for the train.
