Select overseas retailers have it listed for November 2, and Sneaker News expects it on Nike.com in the coming weeks. Nike hasn't posted an official date yet, so treat the US timing as reported, and we'll update this post when it's locked in.
The recipe is simple. Off-white mesh, a sail Swoosh and a sail midsole handle the vanilla, the dark smoke grey mudguard and heel take care of the chocolate, and a soft pink Air Max panel by the heel, with pink peeking through the Air bubble, brings the strawberry. Then Nike throws a curveball: glossy black patent leather on the toe wrap and the Swoosh panel, which is not something you usually find on a casual ice-cream colorway.
Our take: patent leather on an Air Max 90 can go wrong fast, but here it's doing exactly what it should, giving a soft color story a little edge so it doesn't look like a dessert menu. At $145 it's an easy one to wear all winter.
