Somebody at New Balance is already thinking about Christmas markets. The latest 1890 colorway, reported by Sneaker News with official images, is called "Mulled Wine": style code U18903SM, $180, men's sizes, and listed as releasing soon via New Balance. There's no locked date yet, so treat the timing as TBA, and we'll update this post when New Balance sets it.
The name does most of the work here. A deep wine red covers the mesh upper, the curvy overlays and the ABZORB midsole, so the whole shoe reads like one rich, warm color instead of a red accent piece. Silver shows up on the big N and along the edges of the forefoot overlays, black leather and mesh wrap the heel, and a dark grey outsole with little paint flecks keeps it grounded.
Our take: the 1890 has been one of New Balance's busiest silhouettes this fall, from dressed-up moc-toe takes to a CDG HOMME collab, and this is the one that actually looks like it belongs in a winter rotation. Tonal burgundy hides slush better than any white runner ever will, and the silver keeps it from looking too serious. Pair it with grey sweats and call it a seasonal beverage you can wear.
