Air Jordan 10 "Red Steel" Returns March 20, 2027 in the Silver Box

Some sneakers get nostalgic the long way. The Air Jordan 10 "Red Steel" never touched an NBA floor under Michael Jordan in 1994 or 1995. It showed up in 2005, during the 10's first retro run, and twenty-ish years later that's more than enough to make it a throwback in its own right. Rumors of a return started back in April, and Sneaker News now has the first full look at the 2027 Retro.

The recipe is what people remember: a white leather upper, bright red on the laces, collar lining, heel and that famous ridged outsole, plus grey steel hits running through the lace loops and the sole lines. The red Jumpman sits on the heel, and the outsole still carries the run of career highlights stamped across its ridges. It also arrives in the silver face shoebox from that era, which is the kind of detail collectors notice before they even open the lid.

Our take: this is a pure mid-2000s time machine, and it works because the 10 has always looked best in clean white with one loud color. It's also one of the few retros where the box feels like part of the release. Fair warning, March is still a long way off, so expect your group chat to argue about whether $215 is a lot for a 10 roughly once a week until then.
