Cecilie Bahnsen and The North Face are back together, and this time the flowers are going hiking. Fullress reports that the Copenhagen designer's FW26 collection with The North Face releases on November 2 and November 5, and it's the pair's biggest-feeling drop yet, with footwear, apparel and accessories in one go.
The collection pulls from The North Face archive and reworks classic shapes in midnight navy and black. Bahnsen's delicate florals don't take over the whole garment. They show up on trims and hardware, which softens hard-wearing outerwear without making it look like a costume. That's been the trick of this partnership from day one, and it still works.
Footwear is where it gets fun. The Martina Verto Alpine Mid takes the Verto Alpine, a shoe with real approach-shoe and mountaineering DNA, and cuts it as a modern mid. The Angela ThermoBall Mule starts from the brand's insulated quilted camp slipper and gets the full Bahnsen treatment, with raised flowers quilted all over the upper. If last year's Hailey ThermoBall Mule taught us anything, the mule is the one that disappears first. Our take: the Verto Alpine Mid is the sleeper here, a proper outdoor boot that happens to be pretty.
One thing to know: the November 2 and 5 dates come from Fullress's Japan release listing, with stockists there including Goldwin and Cecilie Bahnsen. Pricing and the full US and European rollout haven't been announced yet, so treat those as TBA. We'll update this post when the brands confirm.
