Some player exclusives are rare. This one was basically family property. Sneaker News reports exclusively that LeBron James' Nike Air Zoom Generation "Gloria James", the pink-and-white PE made in honor of his mom, is finally getting a public release in Spring 2027. Nike hasn't announced it yet, so treat this as reported with price and exact date TBA. We'll update this post when it's official.
The backstory is the whole point. Gloria James raised LeBron as a single mom in Akron, and he's called her his North Star for his entire career. Nike put her colorway on his very first signature shoe, and according to Sneaker News only a single-digit number of pairs were made, all for LeBron himself. That's how a white leather shoe with a pink mesh heel turned into one of the most talked-about LeBron PEs ever.
It won't be dropping alone, either. Sneaker News says matching colorways of the LeBron 24 and LeBron Witness 10 will release alongside it, with the drop reportedly lined up for Gloria's birthday on February 7. Nike has been on a run of pulling LeBron PEs out of the vault lately, from the LeBron 4 "Fruity Pebbles" to the LeBron 8 "South Beach" and LeBron 9 "Watch the Throne," and this one might be the most personal of the bunch.
Our take: the Air Zoom Generation still looks great more than two decades later, and pink and white on that chunky shape is softer than you'd expect from a basketball shoe. Expect a lot of people to suddenly remember how much they love their moms come February.
