Sukajan meeting flannel Papillon. Needles just announced its first three-way with Japanese heritage houses Tailor Toyo and Sun Surf — and the campaign puts actor Kenichi Takito front and center in embroidered souvenir wool and butterfly Hawaiian shirts reworked for autumn.

Japanese retail press (UP TO DATE, Fullress) and multi-region Hypebeast coverage confirm the capsule: a heavy-wool U.S. Navy–inspired Tailor Toyo souvenir jacket with Needles Papillon embroidery and city-name campaign credits on the back, plus two Sun Surf Hawaiian shirts that swap classic rayon for flannel and pull archival Papillon motifs from Sun Surf’s library. It’s Needles’ butterfly language spoken through sukajan and aloha craft rather than another track-suit rerun.
