Marathon season has reached the luxury floor. Sole Retriever reports that Dover Street Market is dropping its own New Balance SuperComp Elite v6 on October 22, 2026, at DSM New York, Los Angeles and London and on the DSM website.
It follows DSM's FuelCell SC Elite v5 collab from April, and per Sole Retriever this one comes from the New York store. The look stays in DSM's usual quiet lane: a light grey upper with black fused panels for structure, a reflective 3M silver "N" logo and heel counter, and black on the laces, tongue and sockliner. DSM branding sits on the tongue and insole. Under that it's still a real race shoe, with Infinion foam, a 40mm heel and 32mm forefoot stack for an 8mm drop, a cut-out in the sole with a carbon fiber midfoot shank, and a thin rubber outsole.
Price hasn't been announced. Sole Retriever notes the regular SuperComp Elite v6 sells for $275, so expect the DSM version to cost a bit more. The timing lines up with the run-up to the New York City Marathon, when Saucony, adidas, Nike and others are already rolling out special pairs.
Our take: grey and black with silver reflective hits is about as Dover Street Market as a carbon racer can get. It's a shoe built to shave minutes off a marathon, sold by a store most people walk through slowly. Somebody is going to buy these to run 26.2 and somebody else is going to wear them to brunch, and honestly they'll both look right.
