One of the Air Jordan 1’s original 1985 colorways is lining up for another street run. Jordan Brand is returning the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Royal” — black tumbled leather with Varsity Royal on the toe, Swoosh, heel, and collar — on October 10.

As reported by Hypebeast and Nice Kicks, the leather upper keeps the classic Wings logo at the ankle and Nike Air tongue branding, with white midsole over a royal outsole. Style code is IQ5495-005; U.S. retail is listed at $185 via SNKRS and select retailers (Japan windows cite a morning SNKRS hit the same day).
“Royal” always lived as much off-court as on it — the colorway that helped normalize the AJ1 as everyday footwear. This remaster keeps that street-first energy instead of chasing a gimmick pack.
Update, October 7: Nike made the timing official on its own Nike.com account today: the “Royal” goes live in the US this Saturday, October 10 at 10 AM ET, billed as “true to 1985 form.” So that’s a Saturday-morning alarm for a shoe that’s older than most of the people setting it. Coming soon to ONENESS.
Update, October 7 (afternoon): The Royal isn't the only Jordan on the October calendar. It's just the one with the best résumé. Jordan Brand's holiday "Fireside" colorways already put a women's Air Jordan 3 "Fireside" in Velvet Brown on shelves October 3, and the Air Jordan 12 "Fireside" follows on October 24 with Light Orewood Brown uppers and Cacao Wow mudguards for $215, per Nice Kicks. October also kicked off the Air Jordan "Black Pack": the AJ14 Low and AJ16 landed October 3 in all-black exotic textures through Nike's NBHD retailers, with the AJ15 and AJ17 Low due November 7, per Footwear News. So it's cozy browns, stealth blacks, and a 1985 black-and-royal that has never needed a theme to sell out. If the budget only covers one, you already know which one it is.
