The Vomero 5 has spent years as the comfiest shoe in the dad-core starter pack, and now Nike is sending it to boot camp. The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Cordura "Camo Green" (IQ0380-300) swaps parts of the usual breezy mesh for Cordura, the tough nylon you normally find on duffel bags and gear that gets thrown around. Highsnobiety says it isn't on Nike's site just yet but is expected soon, and Sneaker News reports a Holiday 2026 release at Nike.com and select retailers for $170. Nike hasn't announced an exact date, so treat the date as TBA for now. We'll update this post when it's locked in.
The look is dark and earthy: Camo Green ripstop-style Cordura, black suede overlays and Swoosh, anthracite cages, and a Neutral Olive midsole sitting on dark green cushioning pods. Then Nike sneaks in orange at the lace loops, the Vomero 5 tongue label and the heel embroidery, plus a little Cordura tag near the collar so everyone knows your shoe has been to the gym.
Our take: this is the Vomero 5 for people who keep wearing their mesh pairs through November slush and acting surprised. Same shape, same cushion, same $170 as a regular pair, just harder to wreck. The orange hits keep it from looking like pure tactical cosplay. Wear it with olive cargos and pretend you have a rugged weekend planned.
