Made in USA cotton, dyed in Amami mud. Champion Japan is putting its heavyweight T1011 through Amami Oshima’s traditional 泥染め (dorozome) process — teichigi wood dye meeting iron-rich mud — for a limited dark-brown capsule that lands October 3, 2026.
Champion Japan confirmed the drop today: Made in USA T1011 “AMAMI DOROZOME” hits Champion stores in Japan, the Champion official online store, and selected retailers. The brand’s Japanese press release (via PR TIMES) lists two pieces — a raglan 3/4-sleeve (¥26,400) and a long-sleeve tee (¥27,500), both in dark brown, sizes S–XL — with online sales starting at noon JST on launch day.
Each garment is mud-dyed individually, so the blackish-brown depth and grain vary piece to piece. It’s a craft-meets-heritage angle on a silhouette Champion has long treated as its USA heavyweight staple — not a plain colorway refresh.
