Camiel Fortgens’ first ASICS project treats the Gel-Cumulus 16 like a kids’ shoe rebuilt for adults — three-strap Velcro pairs and open Mary Jane editions, leather DIY overlays on a still-recognizable Cumulus chassis. It’s part of ASICS SportStyle’s Crafts for Mind program, with proceeds supporting the FFort Foundation.
White / green lands first on September 25, 2026 at Tillatec in Amsterdam. Brown follows in October via Dover Street Market London and the Camiel Fortgens Amsterdam flagship. Retail is about €250. That schedule is European boutique timing — not an Oneness drop date.
In a Highsnobiety interview, Fortgens described sculpting around a real heritage SportStyle runner rather than replacing it: handmade leather layers, irregular edges, and the “sandals among sneakers” idea of an open Mary Jane. Campaign photography by Pieter Numan keeps Amsterdam in the frame.
